  1. It is unlucky to change from one house to another during Lent. It is also unlucky to visit any sick people on Mondays and Fridays. People in this district do not plough or harrow on Good Friday. It is unlucky to redden a heater on Good Friday. Long ago the people would never cut their hair on Friday, but that is not the way now. The old people say the best time to hatch hens is in the dark moon. Mondays and Fridays are the unlucky days for people to get married on. It is said if a visitor will come to your house on Monday you will have them for the rest of the week.
