  1. There are some forts in the school district. There is a fort in Cussivinona, in Dreenlomane, and in Raheen. There is a fence of earth and stone around each one of them. There is an entrance in the centre of some of them. People have gone down in these forts and my father and Mr. George Moss went down in one of these forts. It is supposed that it was the Danes built them and lived in them. There was a cow seen in the Dreenlomane fort some years ago, and some coins were found there by Mr. Con O'Donovan, R. I. P., Dreenlomane.
