  1. Many years ago an old travelling man named Tom Kennedy from Cornagun was a constant visitor to my district. He and his family lived at Cornagun. They lived on the alms that received on his travels. He visited the houses once a week. When he came to the door he said "God bless the earners and sometimes "God save all here" He prayed for all in the house. When he inquired were there any signs of war of which he was very much afraid The young people of the house always welcomed him and they liked to see him coming as he told them nice stories. He carried a little in which he carried the alms he received. No matter how late in the night it was he always returned to his cottage.
