  1. Long ago it was very hard for people to hear Mass because they would be persecuted if they were caught going.
    There was a mass path which lead from Chapelizod out through a wood to the road. This path is now called "Galluneen's Path" People went through that path to a little house in the wood in which Mass was celebrated. Not many people went to this Mass because there were two guards in search of the priest.
