    The ruins of this school are still to be seen.
    The seats or benches used were made by the pupils themselves.
    Another school was in an old dwelling-house in Stoneyford. The house belonged to Mr Millea of Rathduff.
    The teacher's name was Thomas Nolan from the same place.
    Irish was the only language taught in it.
