    January 18 th 1938 Folklore .New Year Customs.
    There are twelve days in Christmas ,and the last day is called new year's day it falls on the 6 th January.
    it is said on that if a woman comes into a house early in the morning there would be no luck in that house for the year.
    On new year night a number of candles are lighted and a name of the family put on each candle which ever candle burns first that person is said to die first which ever candle burns the
