    Folklore.
    Long ago when the old people were measuring any crops such as potatoes,turnips ,mangolds and wheat they used an as basket for measuring potatoes a basketfull was counted as 1 cwt weight and four big bucketfulls filled a basket.
    When measuring milk or water long ago they said a cupfull made a half pint and two cupfulls one pint.
    Whe the old people were measuring land they paced it .
