On 24th October, 1934, there was much damage caused in upper Faha by a bog slide which was caused by a heavy rainfall on the previous day.
There is a hill sloping from Dromindoora valley for about a mile and at the top of the hill there is a large bog.
This bog is wet and soft and is undermined by water which caused an explosion which opened the bog and caused it to come down on the valley.
