Bread. 23 : 3: 38
The bread the old people had long ago was called oaten meal. This was wet with milk like the cakes now and baked in a griddle. When this was baked it was very hard and the people used nearly break their teeth eating it.
They ground the corn themselves on the nights or on wet days. They had two stones with a hole in one and a spike in another .Then the oats was put into the hole and the spike of the other put in on top of it and twisted it around inside until it was ground. The women used grind it in a hole(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
