    Forths
There are many forths in this parish. There is one joining our farm. It is on the side of a hill, with a mound of earth and a circle of whitehorns around it. All the forths can be seen from each other as they are situated at an equal distance apart. It is considered very unlucky to interfere with them. Forths are supposed to be very lonely places as there were many strange (things) stories told about them.
