  1. The place I live in is called Pollnucra, but the townland goes by the name of Killuran, because the most of our land is in Killuran. Pollnucra got its name from a tucker's mill that was worked there some years ago. It was kept by a Tuohy man who lived there in a small house. The walls of the house can be seen there to-day. He lived near the mill in a small house, by himself. He had only a small field in which he had a goat and ass. The
