  1. There were many old cures in the country, about which the people know nothing now. Some diseases are taken and some of them are not. The land sometimes is the cause of a lot of diseases. When the disease is in the land it is very hard for it to be cured, but if it is not it can be cured by some dose. Some cattle are very subject to "blains" and to worms in the stomach, which can be cured by making the worms knot over them.
