  1. The name of the town-land in which I was born is Killuran More. This town-land got its name because a man lived there whose name was St. Lurin. There are several others, namely, Gurtatrassa, Ballymacdonell, Newtown, Silvergrove, Kealderra, Claremount, Ballinbrone, Kilbane, Glyn, Oatfield, Sallybank, Broadford, and the Deer-park. This park got its name because there were several deer kept there some years ago.
