  1. In olden times, it was the custom for men and women to attend the fairs. The men and women took part in the business. The women had stalls and sold all kinds of fancy things. They had tea stalls and supplied dinners as men came very far to the fairs. Most of the people walked all night on foot. The people often finished up the fair with a fight.
