A woman named Mrs. Sweetnam, a native of Knuc, was carrying a basket of butter one day to a shop owned by Mr. Ferguson of Ardravina. On her way she met a woman and she delayed talking to her.
The woman took off the cloth of the butter and tasted some of it. The next week Mrs Sweetnam could not make any butter although she remained churning for the whole day.
Whatever way she attempted to make butter she failed and this state of affairs went on for a year. One cold night a small "travelling woman" visited this house.
