  1. About ten years ago, while dredging the Shannon at Killaloe some Danish stone daggers were discovered. They were of peculiar workmanship rather round and thick at the handle end then tapering to a point. They were about twelve or fourteen inches in length. They were discovered by local men who were working on the dredgers.
    These daggers were sent to the Dublin Museum and the finders got very good remuneration for them.
