In the townland where I live there is a fort.

In the townland where I live there is a fort. It is called "Enagh Fort". It is circular in shape and and there are about twenty trees round it. There is a square hole opening into it nobody living ever explored the interior.
There are many stories attached to this fort. Some years ago it was no uncommon sight to see lights and men on horseback hunting round it.
As two men were one night coming across the fields, when they were a short distance from the fort, they could hear the sound of whips and the shouting of men and the barking of dogs. As the came nearer the sounds were getting clearer.
They went on half stunned with fear until they could see them. The huntsmen were clad in grey and the horses they rode were black and white in colour, the dogs were of the same colour. When the huntsmen saw them they signed to one another and they at once disappeared into fort. The men went on and as they were going past the fort they could hear wild sweet music and the sound of dancing feet and they ran as fast as they could. One was swifter of foot than the other
