is considered to be a Saint. Before he died he went astray in the head and he had two nieces living with him and they used to keep the keys of the chapel lest he should get them. He once tried to burn the chapel but he did not succeed. Once the chapel was locked on him lest he should get in and harm the sacred host. He put his toe to the door and it opened of its own accord.
A priest called Father Anthony Smith who lived about a mile from my home who lived about a mile from my home was a very holy man, indeed all the people consider him a saint. When he was buried beside the chapel and a well sprung up from his grave. He was then buried in the chapel and a shore was made from the well to his new grave. People bring water from this well in bottles.
A priest called Father Charles Mac Cann from Jullynchin is also considered a saint. He was buried in the graveyard and a long time after his burial his grave was dug up and his body was not decayed. His body was then taken and buried with great reverence in the chapel.
A man still living named Thomas Smith of Grecrothea is noted for holiness. He goes to the church four and five times each day. The people in this district call him Saint Thomas.
