  1. Potato bake
When a potato cake was to be made long ago some boiled potatoes were got and they were peeled and bruised on a baking board on a table with a little wooden pounder.
Then a sufficient quantity of flour and a little pinch of salt were mixed through them. The whole was well kneaded and it was cut in four parts and put on a pan and baked. Bread was always baked every day.
