    What part of a cow goes into the byre first? Her breath.
    What goes around the country, and leaves a tag on every bush? The snow.
    What is all fiatches, but no stiches? A head of cabbage.
    What kind of stones are to be got in a river? Wet ones.
    What are the two largest ladies in the Unites States? The Mississippi and the Missouri.
    What is the difference between A and B ? A opens your mouth, and B closes it.
    What is under the fire, and over the fire, but never touches the fire? A cake in an oven.
    How many wells would make a river? One if it was big enough.
