  1. The following three prayers are said before going to sleep in bed at night:-
As I lie down on my be to sleep,
I give my soul to Almighty God to keep,
There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angles over head,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless this bed that I lie on,
    If any evil happens me,
    Christ call and waken me,
Heart of Jesus, i adore thee,
Heart of Mary, I implore thee,
Heart of Joseph pure, and just,
in these three hearts is put all my thrust.
    The second one is:-
I lie on my right, i sleep on my left,
I disown the devil, And I take with God,
There are four corners on my bed,
There are four angles over head,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,
God bless this bed that I lie on,
If I die before I wake, To God I give my soul to keep,
Anything that happens me, The Blessed Virgin call and waken me. Amen.
