- Warts. The following cures are given for warts. Whether the cure has been successful or not can only be proved by those affected.1 Fasting spittle rubbed on the warts for nine mornings.2 Black snail found by accident by person affected. This is rubbed on warts & then stuck on thorn of white thorn bush. The warts wither as the snail withers.3 Water found in hollow of a stone or in fork of a tree. The warts are washed by person affected & this is a cure.4 Bacon stolen & rubbed on the warts & then buried under a stone. When bacon rots the warts disappear. 5 Warts washed in forge water the water in the cooling through is given as a cure.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
