    If the wind blows south east it is a sign of rain, if east or north it is a sign of dry and cold weather, if south or west it is a sign of mild weather.
    When rain or wind is coming animals show signs. Small birds crouch behind hedges, while crows, swallows, etc. fly very low. Cattle and horses keep to the sheltered side of the field. Even the dogs and cats stay in their houses during the day.
    As an indication of good weather birds fly very high in the sky. A mist or fog on the tops of mountains in daytime is a sign
