Ar an leathanach seo
- The potato crop is the plentiest crop the farmer has. First the farmer ploughs the land and harrows it. Then he leaves it there for a month or so. After that time he cross ploughs it and harrows it and picks the grass and weeds of it. Next he drills it and puts out the manure. The potato drills are about twenty seven inches wide.
Then he cuts the seed potatoes and plants them in the drill about one foot apart. After that he puts the manure over the potatoes and covers them with clay.
After a month or so the farmer tops the drills with a sprong and he clays them again with the plough. In the summer the farmer scuffles the potatoes and he weeds and he clays them for the last time.
