    them. Two people carry the basket and fills it with potatoes. They carry them to where the pit is being made. The potatoes are stored in pits and barns the pit is a heap of potatoes made in the field and covered with straw and clay.
    The various kinds of potatoes grown here are. Aran Victors, Aran Banners, Garden Fillers, Skerries, Irish Queens, British Queens, Spies in Abundance, Kerr pinks, Golden Wonders, Shamrocks, Aran pilots, Suttons Abundance, Sutton Supreme, Champions, and Mc Gregory Cups.
