- Fairs
Local Fairs were held in Kinnitty and Killyon but now the fair in Killyon has been dropped (I think the place lacked a proper fair green). But there is no field in Kinitty either, the animals stand on the streets. Business is often transacted at the farmer;s houses because the Kinnitty fair takes place only twice a year.
When animals are sold half a crown is given back on yearlings a crown on bigger ones and ten Shillingy note on a horse. This is called the luck penny. It is looked upon as an important part of the bargain(continues on next page)- Collector
