  1. Care of Feet.
    In former days boots were not worn bu boys or girls until they reached the age of eighteen or twenty years while some of them never wore any - for example "Barefoot Jack" who could keep up to any horse and cart in his bare feet. He could never wear boots because of the habit he had when young of not wearing any. At present children wear no boots during Summer, but they do not go barefoot during the other seasons
