  1. There are only two Holy Wells in the parish of Glynn. One in Ardcandrisk and the other a the edgeof Carrigmannon wood in Haye's field. Many people visit them on the local pattern day. The well in Carrigmannon is dedicated to "Saint Laurence," and is called "Saint Laurence's well". There was once a big statue of him there in former days, but it is broken now and there is nothing left there now but the big stand on which it was errected.
    Many people have been cured by it's waters. It is usually used for the curing of eyes. I know a girl who was cured of stys, her name is Bridget Walsh.
