Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)the people shoot the birds with guns. When they are fowling for rabbits and hares the dogs trail them and put them out from where they are lying.
The rabbits make burrows in fences so that they can run in to them in times of danger.
Some people get ferrets and nets to take the rabbits out of the burrows. They put nets on the burrows then they put the ferret into the burrows. The ferret has to be muzzled gong into the burrow or he would kill the rabbit and drink his blood. The ferret lives mostly on blood. He is a long white animal and about the size of a weasel.- Faisnéiseoir
