stand in them. The fool stands in the middle. They exchange rings and if the fool is able to jump into a corner before another child he gets the corner and the other child is the fool.
Boys also play "Put the boar to bed" "Hura-hara" and "hop-step and leap". "Hura-hara" is played by children sitting in a ring and one in the middle. The ones in the ring get a piece of of rope and one of them hits the person in the middle and says "One to plough, two to sow, and three to mow". Then the ones in the ring pass the rope as quickly as possible. If the one in the middle is able to catch the rope on the right side of anyone then that person has to go in the middle.
The indoor games are "The House that Jack built" "Slap and guess" and "phuca óg".
