The horses were always shod in forges. My father told me that working horses a clipped "trace high" and hunting horses are clipped all over.
I was told that a famous horse lived in Tashinny and his name was Oxónún. He was very wicked and only let certain people into the house or field where he was. When catching him a long pole with a hook on the end of it was used.
