Ar an leathanach seo

It is also used to keep insects away from gardens.There is a lot of lime-stone around Clongowna about two miles from Athlone and it is in that locality that the lime is mostly got. On Tueasdays and Saturday many if the people from the Clongowna district can be seen in a certain quarter of the town with carts of lime for sale. It is customary also with some of those people to take lime to the neighbouring towns on market days and dispose, either wholesale or by retail. Hence we see that the “lime-burners2 as they are called always have a busy time.
