  2. There was an old man in Clonmellon he was aged about eighty when he died and he used to make tops for the boys for spinning. He would take a big round piece of wood and carve it into a top. His name was Mickey Donnelly.
    He usually got a few coppers for each top. He lived on the Killallon Clonmellon road and the house he lived in is now completely a ruin. He died about seventy years ago.
