    You Catholics of Ireland those verses I pen down,
    Concerning this frand Chapel that now stands in Delvin town.
    It has gone up by stone in towering towards the sky,
    In honour of Almighty God our Lord who rules on high.

    From five distant quarries those came large and small,
    And were brought into Delvin town to build this Holy Wall.
    Mr Davis was contractor all from the town of Trim,
    Mr Duigan overseer all credit due to him.

    This interior of this Chapel is most beautiful and grand,
    It's roofings and it's pillars for centuries will stand.
    The work marks shown upon each stone in every degree.
    For neatness and completness its equal cannot be.
