- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Long ago people had to pay tolls coming and going away from the town. A person coming to the town with a cart and animals it it had to pay three pence and a person leaving the town with sold cattle paid three pence also. This was stopped when the town's committee took the Square to themselves. When people are making bargains they clap each others hands and so on. Then a man comes and says "Divide it" and "Do not break my word". Then he claps their hands together again and says "Let it be a bargain" and when the bargain is made the buyer cuts a bit of hair form the animal's back with a scissors or marks him with raddle. The seller then says to the buyer " "I hope she will be lucky".(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
