  1. Noggins were wooden cups which the people used mostly for eating porridge. They were all made of wood and had no handles on them. There was a wooden band around them. They are very valuable cups.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
  2. All the old people long ago used to spend the long Winter nights spinning and weaving. The machine they had for spinning was called a spinning wheel and the other was called a loom. There was a spinning wheel in my Grannies. My Granny is not living.
