- Noggins were wooden cups which the people used mostly for eating porridge. They were all made of wood and had no handles on them. There was a wooden band around them. They are very valuable cups.

- All the old people long ago used to spend the long Winter nights spinning and weaving. The machine they had for spinning was called a spinning wheel and the other was called a loom. There was a spinning wheel in my Grannies. My Granny is not living.
