    The following is a list of the Principals of the school.

    Máire Ní Cearbaill 1927 -
    A great grandfather of Thomas Callan(a pupil of the school at present) together with a man named Chester built this school. This Patrick Callan
    lived in the Town land of Ballymakenny where the family still carry on farming.
    Miss Berrill was a native of Drogheda and came to school in a donkey and trap.
    Mr. Kelly taught in Fieldstown N.S. before he came to Ballymakenny.
