    Nail Maker.
    There were nails made in Ballagh by Duryers about sixty years ago.
    Basket Making.
    Basket Making was carried on in every house in Bishopswood about fifty year ago. Thady Carey was a professional at this work.
    Candle Making (about 100 year ago)
    Jermiah O Dwyer of Bishopswood was a noted candle maker, also a man by the name of Mullins who lived in Cashel.

    A Stron Man
    Michael Buckley, Cappawhite, was a very strong man. He could lift a cwt weight with one hand and he could throw it over a wall about eleven feet, He could walk a long distance with one cwt weight in each hand.
