In the year 1932 the year of the last big snow...

In the year 1932 the year of the last big snow there was a man named Pat Mackey going to Johnstown with a load of turf. As he was passing Fooks-court there was a flood on the road and thinking it was not deep he ventured to cross it. He let the ass off by himself as he knew the road himself. The man walked a wall. When he came near the middle of the flood the ass stumbled and fell. The man jumped and cut the harnes and freed the ass and the car was swept over the wall.
