- I know a fairy Fort and it is situated in Mr. G. Quinns land. The shape of it is round. One day a man went to gather sticks in the fort. When he was cutting the sticks, a black dog came out of the bushes. He followed it and it went under the ground. When he went back for the sticks they were gone.

“I know a fort. ...”
I know a fort. It is situated in Mr. Fionns land. The man is living in Ballycahill. One day a man went into the fort. He was going to plough the fort. He said, "before I will plough it. I will put four sticks one at each corner." He then went into the middle of the fort and he said. "If ye do not want me to plough the forth take away the four sticks. " He went in to take his dinner.
