Galway's ghost continued to appear in the farm yard in the Steward's house and at that time there were four laundry maids who used to work at night ironing the linen for the castle. One of the maids went to the range for an iron and Galway's ghost was there smoking his pipe and the four maids jumped out of the window and next morning they told Lady Ashtown about it. She said they should tell their priest about it, they did and he came and removed Galway's ghost from there to the drawing room of the Castle.One night he appeared to the Lady of the Castle and she got a dreadful fright and sent for the parson.
