- GraveyardsKilleedy Abbey which was once a beautiful Convent, is now a loansome relic. The four walls within which stood the most popular Saint and scholars are now roofless and solitary with ivy clinching to their tops and is a place of silence. No scund to be heard from any direction.Surrounding this ancient building are many graves, both old and new. The little place is enclosed by a circular wall and is sloping eastwards. Inside the wall is a gravelled path with grass on either sides. It is in this path people walk when doing rounds. Every three feet of this yard is owned by different families for their burial place. The parishoners of Killeedy were so grateful as to erect over the grave of our patron St a beautiful statue. At the Easter end is a wide deep hole like a cave in which were stored the treasures of the Monastry in olden times.
