Ar an leathanach seo
- The animals we have are as follows; horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, fowl, dogs and cats. When people are calling calves, they say, suck, suck.
Our cow house is built of stone and mortar. The bails are made of timber. Two upright sticks are joined to two big boards carved out for the purpose. One of these stands [?] when open, but the other is perfectly straight, and cannot be moved. The cow puts her head between the two sticks and the slant stick is moved to meet the other, and a stick also made for the purpose ties them. If cows are cross they are spancelled. Some cows get names such as Easy Red, on account of being easy to milk. She has two daughers Young Reds, daugher, Old Reds daugher. Black Major got her name on account of being able to toss all the cows. Young Nellie was so named on account of her mother being Nellie. Kickers Daugher is another as well as that. Biddy Roche was bought from Roches. Toe Stander used stand on(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
