  1. About 25 years ago there were famous runners in my district. Their names were the Barrets of Beeing, known as the "Barreth Brothers. John Corbeth of Beeing and the Sullivans of Cather known as the "Cathers".
    These men held the all Ireland running title. The most famous of them were Harry Cather "John Corbeth and Donald "Barreth" "Jack Barreth" and "Authur Cather" were not as good as the other three.
    "Donald Barreth" is now vice chairman of the all Ireland Athletic board. "Jack Barreth" is now dead. He died in America "Corbeth" is a carpenter in Beeing cross.
