  1. Fields:- "The fort Field" contained a fort in olden times.
    The following story about this fort is often related. "By night a sow appeared there that threw stones at the passers-by".
    "The Graveyard Field" contained a graveyard from the time of Cromwell to the Famine period. The graveyard covered about an acre of the field.
    "The Water Field" has a pond in the centre of it.
    "The Cross Field" is situated near our cross.
    "The Brake Field" contained a furze-brake some years ago.
    "The Gate Field" has a very heavy gate.
    "The Horse Field". Our horses were kept in this field by night some time ago.
    "The Rock Field" is situated near Blackrock.
    "The Hilly Field" is very hilly.
    "The Slíabhín".
    "The Calves Field". Our calves are nearly always kept there.
    Rivers and Streams.
    "The Droichidín" is a small stream which rises in Sheehan's bog and meets
