    About 116 years ago the mail-car was going from Tralee to Cork, with letters to the gentry. The Whiteboys did not like that and wanted their mail-coach not to carry the letters any longer. Then an English army-man named Brereton said that he would carry the mail inspite of anyone.
    He rode a white horse, with the mail. The gentry accompanied him to the Old Chapel, Rathmore.
