  1. There was an old Catholic Church in Lether the ruins of which are still to be seen. It is said that long ago a protestant man named Robert Salter, Lether, took a stone off the old catholic church to build a house. Every night after he was awakened by a voice telling him to return the stone, which he did.
    There was an old catholic church in Lahern in the farm of Mr. Jack Sweetnam.
