- Many years ago a man by the name of Dan Driscoll, who lived in Scart, was going home from a neighbour's house. As he was going along the road he saw a great big black dog as big as a donkey. The man walked on, but the dog jumped up and bit him in the face, and the man got a bad fright. So he ran home and went to bed.
