  1. In times gone by the old people had many cures. If a person sprained his ankle he would go to the weaver's for a thread that he uses in the loom and tie it on the ankle. The food left by a ferret was supposed to be a cure for the whooping cough.
    If there are seven sons in succession in a family the seventh has the cure for ringworm.
